Week 6 Flowchart – DraftKings Cash Contests

We find ourselves with a relatively straightforward week in cash games in Week 6. Unfortunately though, since the player pool is rather condensed this week, that means the margin for error is a little bit tighter in your contests. If most people are going to be on a similar build, we’ve have make sure we get the ancillary pieces right.

Cash Game Locks

The bargain bin, high value Running Backs are all over the board this week. I believe that Rhamondre Stevenson is in a class of his own at $6,000. He doesn’t really have another backfield threat, Belichick has beamed about him recently, and he is facing a Browns defense that is not great against the run.

The next most confident RB I have this week is Eno Benjamin who is incredibly cheap at $4600. With such a low tag and the passing game upside, he has the ability to pay off his price tag even if he doesn’t handle 80%+ of the carries this weekend.

After that it is a bit of a toss-up, I’ve plugged Darrell Henderson Jr. in here because his price tag makes a lot of things work and we’ve seen him have some decent games when Akers was out last season. However, the Rams have not been the same this year so definitely some fragility involved. You could also make the case that Kenneth Walker III should be in here or Deon Jackson now that Jonathan Taylor and Nyheim Hines have been ruled out. I would probably stay away from Jackson, but I think Walker is a very viable cash game play.

Lastly, we have Tyler Lockett who had a blowup week last week and actually came down in price somehow. Doesn’t make a whole lot of sense, but I am actually a bit nervous to play Lockett in GPPs this week. We don’t often see players have back-to-back great chalk performances and when you factor in the floor we’ve seen from Lockett in the past, I think it’s a clear stay away in tournaments. Get all your exposure here in cash.

Choose Your Tight End

I think Mark Andrews is pretty far and away the best value here this weekend, as he comes in $800 lower than Kelce and the Ravens will be without Rashod Bateman. Tyler Higbee continues to pop in the projections as well, as Matthew Stafford has been targetting him like crazy recently.

I paired these guys up with Rondale Moore and Ja’Marr Chase respectively, but there are routes to go the Higbee path with Moore and keep it a little more balanced the rest of the way.

I always try and give as many options as I see viable this week, which is why I wanted to include the Chase route as well.

Quarterback Decision

Do we play up for Josh Allen or take the value with Tom Brady? It seems like this has been a popular decision point over the last two weeks. Personally, I think it’s going to be pretty hard to come off the Josh Allen train. His floor/ceiling combination is just otherwordly and he is much easier to fit this week than he has been in others. However, after DraftKings decided not to move Brady’s price point higher after two straight games of increased passing volume, he is definitely worth a look.

Final Piece of the Puzzle

As I touched on above, there are a lot of ways to re-arrange things in Column 2 which could actually leave you with different options for fitting in this last piece.

I think DK Metcalf is a strong value at $6800 this week and obviously the Arizona and Seattle game environment is an enticing one, however if you play him that likely means you are trotting out 4 players from that game which just inherently opens you up to more risk. I will likely be leaning away from this route by the time we wind down to kickoff.

Christian Kirk gets a little bit of an extra boost with Marvin Jones Jr. being ruled out, and Doug Pederson talked up the need to get him more involved after his quiet game last week. I am perfectly fine going back to the well here.

Last but not least, finding a way to pair up Stefon Diggs with his QB Josh Allen just may end up proving to be the key to cash game victory this week. Taking the stud QB and his WR into a shootout matchup against the Chiefs gives me a whole lot of things to get excited about.

I hope you all find some luck this week and beat out half of our competition!
