Week 2 Flowchart – DraftKings Cash Contests

Week 2 Flowchart – DraftKings Cash Contests

Last week’s results in the first ever Cash Contest version of The Flowchart was a great success. Most of the combinations easily doubled up in the large contests and the Jahan Dotson route was one of the best cash game lineups out there.

On to Week 2, where the landscape isn’t so appealing this time around. I think we’ve got some really strong RB options this week and a jumbled up mess at WR where a lot of guys are projecting well but no one is really separating from the pack.

Cash Game Locks

Saquon Barkley headlines this column as he proved to all of us in Week 1 that he is ALL THE WAY BACK. Love to see a healthy Barkley running wild and I expect him to keep it up against Carolina.

Darrell Henderson Jr. shocked us all when he got the start and played the workhorse role for the Rams on TNF. For the time being it seems like Cam Akers is in the doghouse, so firing up Hendo at $5700 is a pretty easy lock.

Davante Adams proved that the Packers are going to miss him more than he is going to miss the Packers by racking up a league-high 17 targets in his first game with the Silver & Black. He has truly elite usage through the air and at a $1300 discount to Cooper Kupp you just have to plug him in.

Cincinnati Bengals are another no-brainer play. They get the Cooper Rush-led Cowboys this week and are priced at basically the minimum. Stay away from them in GPPs, but feel free to fire away in cash games.

Quarterback & Tight End Options

Each week, the 2nd column of the Flowchart will present what I believe to be our biggest cash decision of the week. The pricing worked out just too perfectly when I was reviewing QB/TE options so we’ve got a fun little 2v2 decision to make. Daniel Jones showed some promise in Week 1 helping lead the Giants to a late game comeback (it was really all Saquon) but at $5100 he has great upside this week against the Panthers. Pairing him up with Albert O is a great choice, because even though he got off to a slow start on Monday Night, the Broncos TE1 finished strong with plenty of usage.

On the flip side we can pay up a little bit more to Derek Carr and we get the ancillary benefit of a little Davante Adams correlation. It’s hard not to call the Cardinals a pass funnel after Mahomes lit them up for 5 TDs, so I think Carr will really have some success through the air. We’ll pair him up with Juwan Johnson who is a converted WR, is the stone minimum price at TE, and so a majority of the snaps in Week 1. I’m fine with a low owned Tight End punt every week in cash.

Fill in the Wide Receiver Spots

Another fun 2v2 decision we have is at the remaining 2 WR spots in our lineup. I think Curtis Samuel and Brandin Cooks are the safer options since their usage looked pretty strong in Week 1. However, if you want access to the ceiling that we know Tyreek Hill possesses, pairing him up with Greg Dortch at $3500 is a fine option as well.

Final Flex Piece

We’ve got around $6500-$6700 left in our budget and it’s really a sweet spot for that price range this week. I think I like Leonard Fournette the most in this column as he had truly elite RB1 usage against the Cowboys. Javonte Williams and Michael Pittman Jr. both lives up to expectations in their first games and would be my next two preferred choices. Finally Amon-Ra St. Brown proved to us that last year wasn’t a fluke with 8 grabs and 1 TD against the Eagles. He is a strong play for cash and I love him in GPPs as well.

That does it for this week’s cash write up! Good luck out there.
